2017-2018 School Year Begins Soon!

Summer is almost behind us! Our staff is busily preparing for this school year.

Please note the updated school calendar and school supply lists, and make uniform preparations if you have not already.

Dates to remember:
August 22 - Parent Teacher Fellowship - School Commons - 7 p.m.  Meet the teacher, visit the classrooms, and mingle with other parents.
August 23 - First Day of School - Remember it is a cold lunch day, and students (other than preschool) need to be wearing their Wednesday (dress) uniform.

Remember, our school is peanut-free.  Please do not bring any items with peanuts or peanut butter!

***For the safety of all, please enter the east driveway, back up against the east field if parking. Circle around the back of the building and out the west driveway when exiting.  Drive slowly, and watch for pedestrians as you go around the building.  Safety first!  Is someone else providing transportation for your child?  Please alert them to our traffic pattern.

Discount Card Sales Winners!

Did you know that each PCS student receives a free, hardback, full color, 56-page yearbook at the end of each school year?  This is a highlight of the year, and it is funded by local businesses and our spring fundraiser.
So far this spring, our students have sold 417 discount cards!  Students who sold a minimum of 25 cards by April 24th were awarded a $10 Walmart gift card.

(left to right:  Isaac, Kyalah, Aaron, Sarah, Bryce)

Let's give a special shout out to Kyalah, who sold 80 cards!  Kyalah's mother said, "Kyalah has been quite the little sales lady.  Whenever we go to the store or a doctor's appointment, etc., she makes sure we bring them, and she asks everyone we see to buy a card."  Kyalah and her mother also walked the neighborhoods, knocking on doors.

PCS discount cards will be available until May 11, when the rest of them will be sold at the Lima east Walmart.  The cost is $5, and all discounts on card are good until March 1, 2018.

Congratulations to our top sellers, and a big thank you to all those who sold discount cards or purchased sponsorships this year.  YOU are the reason PCS can continue to offer a high quality yearbook at no cost to our students.

Welcome 2017!

Happy New Year to the families and friends of Pilgrim Christian School! We trust you will find 2017 to be the best yet. Although we don't know what the future holds, we do know Who holds the future, and we can rest securely in His promises.
One week from today, January 11th, will mark the end of the 2nd quarter. Let's continue to strive for academic excellence as we wrap up this grading period! Our students are blessed with an individualized curriculum that is tailored to them...their needs, their abilities, and their comprehension level in each of the core subjects. Encourage them to make the best of every opportunity they are given. We are here to support you and your students in every way possible.
Thank you for your continued support and prayers as we embark upon a new calendar year.
